Expenzey is designed to protect your privacy from the ground up. Your financial data stays entirely on your device and is never uploaded or stored on any server. We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or phone number, and the app contains no ads, trackers, or marketing analytics. The only data we may receive is limited technical information related to crashes or errors, collected through Sentry to help improve app stability. This diagnostic data includes things like device model, OS version, and crash details, but it never includes your expense entries or any personal or financial information. You remain in full control of your data at all times. 1. Introduction

Expenzey is built to protect your privacy.
Your financial data never leaves your device, and we do not store it on any server.
We only collect very limited technical information that helps us fix bugs and improve performance.


2. What we do not collect

Expenzey does not collect or store:

  • Personal identity (name, email, phone, address)
  • Your expense entries, categories, budgets, or financial history
  • Messages, contacts, emails, call logs, or photos
  • Location/GPS data
  • Any personal files on your device
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Analytics or tracking data

Your financial data stays 100% offline on your device.


3. What we collect (Technical Only)

To diagnose crashes and improve stability, we collect non-personal, technical-only data:

Device Information

  • Device model
  • Operating system version
  • Device type

App Diagnostics

  • Crash logs
  • Error reports
  • Performance and load time data

No personal or financial information is included in these diagnostics.


4. Crash Reporting (Sentry)

  • We use Sentry to detect and fix app crashes.
  • Sentry receives only the technical data mentioned above.
  • It does not receive any of your expense data.

5. Why this technical data helps

The technical diagnostic data helps us:

  • Fix crashes quickly
  • Improve app stability
  • Resolve device-specific issues
  • Deliver a smoother experience

We do not use this data for ads, profiling, or marketing.


6. Your expense data & local storage

All your financial data is:

  • Stored offline
  • Saved only on your device
  • Never uploaded to any Expenzey server
  • Deleted automatically when you uninstall the app (unless backed up manually)

If you create a backup file, it stays fully under your control e.g., if saved locally or to your personal cloud drive.


7. App Permissions

Expenzey requests only the permissions needed to function:

Storage Access – Used only for:

  • Saving backups
  • Restoring backups
  • App’s internal storage

We do not request:

  • Contacts
  • SMS
  • Email
  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Location
  • Background data
  • Access to media files outside Expenzey’s folders

8. Your Rights

Because your data stays on your device, you have full control:

  • View all your data
  • Edit or delete anything
  • Export backups
  • Remove all data by uninstalling the app

No request to us is needed, because we don’t keep anything.


9. Children’s Privacy

Expenzey is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
